Turned a failed sale for an enterprise semantic data analysis company into a $5M source code license (with additional $2M follow-on available) where the company was offered money upfront, all improvements to the code and non-compete in the primary customer focus area for the company. The private equity licensee also agreed to absorb all support and engineering costs. That allowed the company to stand down on a dilutive raise and apply those new financial resources to growth strategy where it now licenses 7 & 8 figure, multi-year deals to the largest enterprises around the world.

Structured license partnership deals for an international (Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia) GMNO with $20B revenue & 250M subscribers to provide value-add, in-the-moment offerings so it doesn’t fall into the trap of the commoditization race-to-the-bottom in which many other MNO’s are engaged.

Constructed a spin out from an acquired company into a merger partner with a portfolio company of a VC (for which $3M was invested by the VC with a $6M follow-on investment). The merged entity retains the spinout’s brand while the former parent retained equity and has a deal for favored-nations pricing. The company otherwise would have BK’d and damaged the parent company in the process. The resulting company is now one of the top enterprises in its segment of the digital media environment.

Developed an acquisition and new go-to-market plan for $150M specialty ecommerce company that saw search costs spike because of a miscue about a key change at Google. Instead of the disastrous consequences leadership was planning to navigate, the company is now a leader in its field.

Supported a company focused on a social purpose to reframe its revenue model & technology so it is more efficient with its message, has barriers to entry, becomes massively scalable and will be in a position to capture member network effect.

Helped reorganize key elements of a company with what was seen as sunset technology to repurpose the value proposition with a deep horizon in secure data transport for health care that is now on a strong growth curve. The company experienced 100% YoY revenue growth and has moved into sunrise technologies.

Re-engineered an enterprise from multiple divisions and disparate offerings into a streamlined enterprise with a capabilities portfolio that is synergistic. This allowed for much more efficient go-to-market efforts and greater receptivity by customers. It also made it easier for the founder to recruit senior level talent while the founder transitioned to their charitable efforts outside of the company. The net is that the company is in a much stronger position and the founder now has a much stronger company while allowing that person to focus on important efforts beyond running the business.
